IN REFLECTION

Last Sunday we saw in Exodus 12:29-51 that God is the God of salvation. And in his work of salvation he overcomes the enemy, provides for his people, keeps his promises, and builds a new community. Let's rejoice in what God has done for us in Christ, bringing an even greater salvation to us in his life, death, and resurrection!

Listen to "God of Our Salvation"

PREPARING TO HEAR

This week we will be looking at Exodus 13:1-16. Take a few minutes the read the text and think about these questions:

  • Why is it appropriate for God to claim the firstborn of man and beast as his own?
  • What repeated phrase appears throughout this passage describing God's work of salvation?
  • How is remembrance essential to our own life and worship?

Let's pray for the word to go forth with power, and for God's glory to be seen and known. Let's pray our hearts would be hungry for and responsive to God's truth, and that our faith would be strengthened.
