It's easy to be desensitized to Jesus' birth at Christmas. We can be caught up in traditions, shopping, and family and miss the significance of the incarnation. However, we need to see that his birth fulfills centuries of expectation of the promises of God. As the descendant of Abraham, Jesus is the one who brings the promised blessing to the world in the form of salvation. And as the descendant of David, Jesus is the eternal king who reigns over all. Through faith, we can receive this blessing. And through repentance, we can submit to his rule. What is your response to Jesus?
