On Sunday pastor Brian Warne walked us through Paul's opening words to the Romans and encouraged us to remember the gospel-centered model for missions we find in the ministry of Paul. Are you mindful today of God's call on your life to be a messenger for the gospel? Is the person and work of Jesus Christ primary in your heart and in your priorities? Let's pray for Spirit-empowered boldness and faithfulness as we seek to glorify God by being and making disciples of Jesus both here and and abroad.

Listen to A Gospel-Centered Model for Missions

This week we will be returning to our study through the book of Genesis and looking at chapter 14. Read through Genesis 14 this week and consider:

  • How does the promise of ch12 play a part in this story?
  • What does Abram's response to this crisis show about his heart (in this instance)?
  • What does his response to the Melchizedek and the king of Sodom show about his heart?
  • What does this chapter teach us about God?
  • How should these truths about God shape our decisions and actions?

Pray for me as I prepare, and pray that those present on Sunday will behold the glory of God and be moved to faith and obedience.

Below are the songs we will singing together on Sunday. Use this as a resource to learn unfamiliar songs, to meditate on Christ-centered truth throughout the week, and teach your children songs that will fill their minds and shape their hearts.
