In a world that often seems so unjust, believers need the perspective the apostle Paul offered the Thessalonians - justice is coming. As you look at a broken world, the reality of injustice, and consider the possibility of persecution, do not forget who God is. He is just, He will judge. The wicked will receive retribution and the righteous will be rewarded. May we press on to know God and obey the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Listen to Justice for All by pastor Mike Summers

This week we will return to our study in Mark's gospel. Read Mark 14:66-72 and consider what we might learn that would equip us to be faithful disciples of Jesus. Pray with me that God would use the preaching of His word to strengthen believers and compel the lost to surrender to Christ as Lord and Savior.

Our next youth activity will be Sunday evening from 5-8pm at the home of Will and Nancy Moneymaker. We ask that you bring $5 to cover food if you can, and contact Steven and Bradi Parkin with any questions.

Many of you are aware of the Christmas outreach at Countryside we are participating in again this year. There are currently well over 5,000 people signed up to attend this year's Journey to Judea, and we always offer them hot chocolate and cookies when they arrive. If you would be willing to help bake some cookies please let us know.

Men, the Ironmen Summit is a yearly conference that we have participated in for that last few years, and many of us have profited greatly from it. It is an all day event that includes breakfast and lunch along with some great teaching aimed directly at men. This coming year the event will be held on Saturday, January 21st from 8am-4pm at Flint Hills Christian Church in Emporia, KS. Mark it down on your calendar. You can learn more and register here. It fills up fast, so I would encourage you to sign up soon.
