IN REFLECTION

This past Sunday we heard pastor Otto Skoog speak to us from Ephesians 3 on Paul's prayer for the church. The love of God is immense and never ending. It is the power that energizes love for God (resulting in holiness) and love for others (resulting in Christlike service). Are you meditating on the love of God this week? Are you resting in the massive ocean of God's love that surrounds and fills all? Let's not settle for small, shallow, thin understandings of God. Let's push upward and onward into a deeper understanding and experience of God's love!

Listen to To Know the Love of Christ

PREPARING TO HEAR

  • What similarities do you see to events that have already occurred in the Genesis narrative?
  • What repeated words or phrases do you notice throughout this chapter?
  • How does Isaac's faith fail and succeed at various points?
  • How does God's promise point forward to the later ministry of Jesus and the present ministry of the Holy Spirit?

Please pray with me that God's word would have a profound impact on our hearts and lives as we receive it with faith and humility.

PREPARING TO SING

Below are the songs we will singing together on Sunday. Use this as a resource to learn unfamiliar songs, to meditate on Christ-centered truth throughout the week, and teach your children songs that will fill their minds and shape their hearts.
