On Sunday we looked into how Genesis 25 brings the life of Abraham to a close and sets the stage for the next major section of Genesis - the story of Isaac and his family. The names change, the generations come and go, but one thing remains constant; God. What emerges throughout salvation history is the faithful, sovereign, unmerited grace of God.

Listen to Faithful, Sovereign, Unmerited Grace

This week we will be hearing from pastor Michael Summers from Countryside. He will be preaching from Philippians 2:1-11. Take a few minutes to read the passage and consider the following questions:

  • What is Paul's concern for the church?
  • What kinds of sin threaten unity and joy?
  • What ought to shape our attitudes and actions towards one another?
  • How do I need grow to be more like Christ in light of these truths?

Let's pray for pastor Michael as he prepares to serve us, let's pray for our own hearts to be open and receptive to God's voice, and let's pray for the lost among us to hear the compelling call of the gospel.

This week we will be learning and singing a new song, "He is Risen" by Caroline Cobb. This modern hymn will be a great song to add as we approach Easter and the celebration of Christ's resurrection from the dead! Take some time to listen and become familiar with this tune so you can fully participate with us on Sunday.

Below are the songs we will be singing together on Sunday. Use this as a resource to learn unfamiliar songs, to meditate on Christ-centered truth throughout the week, and teach your children songs that will fill their minds and shape their hearts.
