IN REFLECTION

Pastor Scott Nicoll came this past week and preached a message from Mark 4. As Jesus is sleeping in the boat, a storm comes that shakes the disciples and causes them to fear for their lives. As Jesus calms the storm, He also invites them to believe in His power and goodness. The bigger your view of God, the smaller your problems appear to be. Let's keep our gaze fixed on Christ this week and allow the reality of His glory and love to overshadow our circumstances.

PREPARING TO HEAR

This week I am going to be presenting an exiting new opportunity for Redemption Hill Church. As we seek to be a faithful and healthy church, a key component of our ministry will be the investment and labor of missions. We want the gospel to be spread both here in Lawrence and abroad. Our time together Sunday will be spent looking to the scripture for direction in the area of missions, and presenting a new opportunity we have to invest in this crucial task. Please pray that God would stir in our church a passion for His glory through the preaching of the gospel, and a that God would increase our burden for those who are lost and need to hear of Jesus.

PREPARING TO SING

Below are the songs we will singing together on Sunday. Use this as a resource to learn unfamiliar songs, to meditate on Christ-centered truth throughout the week, and teach your children songs that will fill their minds and shape their hearts.

Crown Him with Many Crowns
Across the Lands
Come Thou Fount
Plead for Me
O Church Arise
