On Sunday we considered how the gospel and the supremacy of Christ affects relationships in the home. Wives, husbands, parents, and children were addressed and given exhortations to submit to Christ and love their family members.

Spend some time this week considering the commands pertinent to your situation in life and how the preeminence of Christ affects your relationships.

Listen to The Supremacy of Christ in the Home of the Christian

This week we have the privilege to hear from Otto Skoog, a pastor at Countryside. He will be speaking from Isaiah 40. To prepare for Sunday, please read this chapter and think about the following questions:

  • What was Isaiah's main purpose in writing this chapter?
  • When is it hardest to have the right view of God?
  • Why do we need to read verses 1-30 before we get to the promise of verse 31?

Let's pray that God's word is clearly proclaimed and received on Sunday. Pray for believers to be encouraged and strengthened, for unbelievers to be drawn to Christ, and for God to be glorified in all we do.
