At one point or another, all of us have been single. Many of us are unmarried now. Singleness brings unique challenges and opportunities that require believers to find their satisfaction in God. Whether you are single now or not, we all face the struggle of where to find our satisfaction. Spend some time this week considering whether you find your joy in God's goodness or in something else that has become an idol.

This Sunday we will be focusing on the Biblical mandate for manhood. The world has many ideas of what it means to be a man, and our sin natures fight against how God created men. But Scripture's teaching on masculinity is important for men, their families, their churches, and all people. To prepare for this Sunday, think about these questions:

  • What does it mean to be a man?
  • How does the world view masculinity?
  • In what areas are the Biblical mandate for manhood needed most?
  • How does masculinity affect families? The church?

This Sunday is also our first week with a Sunday School. We will meet at 9:30 for Sunday School and 10:30 for our main worship service. Please take note of this time change.

Please take a moment in preparation for this Sunday to pray for those God will bring to the service, both believers and unbelievers, and that he will work in their hearts to understand the Scripture and apply it to their hearts. Pray for Michael as he prepares and proclaims God's Word, and for the Holy Spirit to work through his words and in the hearts of all who hear. Pray that God would defeat our enemy's attempts to hinder the proclamation of the gospel at Redemption Hill.

Below are the songs we will be singing together on Sunday. Use this as a resource to learn unfamiliar songs, to meditate on Christ-centered truth throughout the week, and teach your children songs that will fill their minds and shape their hearts.
