The Church Gathered

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Hebrews 10:24-25

Sunday Worship

Time and Location

We gather to worship weekly as a church family on Sunday mornings at the Carnegie Building (200 West 9th St). This beautiful and historic facility has room for corporate worship, a room for the children's ministry, and a room for our growing nursery. People begin to arrive at 9:30am to connect and enjoy a cup of coffee, then we begin corporate worship at 10am. During this time we worship through song, the preaching of the word and prayer. | Get Directions |

Parking and Accessibility

There is a small parking lot immediately north of the building, metered curbside parking is free on Sundays, and there is also a two-hour lot (free on Sundays) just east of the building on the other side of Vermont. An elevator is available on the east side of the building for those who need help getting up the stairs. | See parking map |

Children

We offer a nursery for those up to age two, and also provide a class during the worship hour for those age three to six. Older children are encouraged to participate with the adults as we study God's word together as a church family.

Student Ministry

Our Jr High and Highschool students meet on Sunday evenings to discuss scripture and grow in the understanding of God's word. We also invite students to participate in occasional activities that promote friendship and fellowship.

Weeknights

We also meet in smaller groups in people's homes for prayer, discussion, and fellowship. We believe that these interactions are key to growing up as disciples of Jesus and growing together as a church family. We currently have two groups that meet in Lawrence, one in Eudora and one in Ottawa.

Let us know if you are interested in visiting one of these groups.
